Sweet Perks at Gateway Center

At Gateway Center, working in a great office space comes with a few extra benefits like fresh, locally harvested honey from our rooftop hive!

Our Alvéole bee program is a key part of our commitment to sustainability, using nature-based solutions onsite to support urban biodiversity and connect our community to nature. With almost 8,000 healthy bees thriving right here in our hive, we’re helping to strengthen pollinator populations, which are vital to our food supply and the planet’s health.

As a tenant, you can visit the hive right here at the building, take part in educational workshops to learn about bees and pollinators hands-on, and even follow the hive’s activity digitally on our Hive Website.

Each year, we harvest honey from our rooftop and share it with our tenants as a thank-you—and as a reminder that being here means being part of something bigger. Gateway Center is proud to be a small but meaningful part of Pittsburgh’s growing sustainability efforts.
